From American Taina Crafts to American Taina: Our Evolution
When I first started this journey, I called it American Taina Crafts — because that's exactly what it was: handmade, heartfelt, and crafted with intention. Every piece was made by hand, rooted in heritage, and poured with love.
But as the brand grew, so did the vision.
The word "Crafts" began to feel too small for what American Taina had become. Our jewelry, candles, mugs, and home décor weren't just crafts — they were statements. They were heirlooms in the making. They were a celebration of culture, identity, and artisanal excellence.
So I made a change.
Why the Name Change?
Dropping "Crafts" wasn't about moving away from my handmade roots — it was about honoring them more fully. American Taina is a name that stands on its own. It carries the weight of our story, our community, and our commitment to quality without needing a qualifier.
I also want to be transparent with you: it's just me behind all of this. I am the maker, the packer, the photographer, the customer service team, and everything in between. This brand is a one-woman operation built with a whole lot of heart — and I wouldn't have it any other way.
That also means that updating everything — the website, the packaging, the social media, the listings — takes time. You may still see the old name pop up here and there as I work through it all. Please bear with me! Every update is being done thoughtfully and with care, just like every product I make.
What Stays the Same
- Every product is still made with the same care and craftsmanship you've come to expect.
- My heritage-inspired aesthetic remains at the core of everything I create.
- Your support — and my gratitude for it — hasn't changed one bit.
What's New
With a refined name comes a refined focus. I'm expanding my collections, deepening the storytelling, and showing up more boldly in spaces where our community gathers — online and in person.
This is still your brand. I just grew into my name.
Thank you for being part of this journey from the very beginning. The best chapters are still ahead.
Con amor,
Arlean
